Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse is an act which i believe is unacceptable in todays society as provisions should be made so that no male, female or child should come under the abuse of another. Domestic Abuse is most commonly reported among women and children, whith male cases of abuse often dismissed. The reasons for domestic abuse as an act, has been charactorised in different ways, such as psychological reasons; abuse as a child, problems with mental stability, stress and anxiety, the illusion of power and control etc. One is the problems in stopping this type of abuse is that only a small percentage of people come forward to seek help as many fear their attacker. Males subject to abuse from their spouses are the least unlikely to make a report of this sort as many feel embarrised or ashamed to seek halp after being attacted. The stigma around this needs to be removed, taking a step forward for all those being abused.

I agree with the comments you are making here as men, women and especially children should not be victims of domestic abuse. However, I disagree with the point about male cases being dismissed as there are several cases of men being victims of domestic abuse by women. I totally agree with the fact that people are too scared to come forward as in many cases it is their partner who is abusing them and they do not want thier partner to get into trouble.
